STL doesn't compare to Denver in any aspect besides cheap living.
If you are not into mountain sports or smoking weed Denver can be pretty boring.

Even without the mountains and the legal weed Denver > St. Louis.

Without the mountains and legal weed Denver becomes a more expensive version of Omaha.

Our only worry is making sure we find a decent home that is not overly inflated and within our required drive times to the office.

This is true. STL is an "ok" city at best anymore these days, even the surrounding counties.

I could care less about weed. We are both tech oriented people and rarely go outside and when we do its to fish or hike and or take the dogs to the park.

Dude: Denver doesn't have the Cardinals. And, there's plenty of other great things in St. Louis. Lots of fine arts. Free world-class zoo; remember Marlin Perkins? Could name plenty more.

Denver has its own fine things, and scenery that St. Louis doesn't. Now, if we were comparing Denver and Bawlmore?
