Hello everyone,

I'm new to the area, and have a 5months old son. Currently my baby goes to a daycare center 5 days a week. With my job, i can work from home few days a week, so i keep my baby at home during those days. I have to pay full tution eventhough he's not at the daycare. So i'm looking for private babysitter that would allow the flexibilty and only pay the actualy time my kid is there. Any recommendation?

Your help would be very appreciated.

Thanks,

Did you try Craig's List? We have gotten some good sitters up in Boulder from this site. Just ask for references and obviously meet with them first to see if they fit your needs.
craigslist: denver classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events

The local YMCAs have lists of people looking for babysitting jobs, however, a lot are teenagers who are in school during the day. Might be worth a try, though.

care.com - you can post an ad and wait to get responses before joining the site. we relocated away from family and friends and have found amazing sitters.

Are you kidding me? You're looking for a babysitter on line. How bout social services? I'm sure they'd find a foster family for your child.

It's not like they'd let someone into their house who was a fifty year old perv with his hands down his pants. As long as you ask for references and interview them first, I don't see anything wrong with finding a babysitter online from a reputable site.

Not sure where you are located, but in this general area, there are several "drop-in" daycare centers. You can drop the kids off anytime, for any amount of time. If you buy a package, the hourly rates are pretty reasonable.

There is a limit to the number of hours your child can attend in a given day/week - so not sure if it's the perfect option for you, but it has been a lifesaver for us being new to the area with no trusted friends/babysitters at first.

We've specifically used one of the Kidstown franchises and have been very pleased.
