I have been out of the City-Data Forum for a bit and returned to see the usual complaints, rants, and adaption questions. Which is why I gave the forum a break. In an attempt to mix it up a bit, tell me something that really excited you that was new to the city this year, or last! Any new addition, and why, to include restaurants, vendors, venues, buildings, art installations, transportation innovations, or whatever tickled your fancy. This Denver native has seen much change and love finding the positives in our growth.

Airport train without a doubt. Be nice if they fix all the issues, but hard to beat how much every 15 minute service changes things compared to the every hour bus that still ended with a train ride.

Love the new Levitt Pavillion! Went to two concerts this summer. It really is a lovely venue, where you can spread out a blanket on the grass, have a nice picnic, and listen to great music!

I love the new restaurant El Five in the Highlands. The view is spectacular and the sangria and paella are to die for!

If not given a time frame constraint, it's kind of difficult. How far back are we going? If just in the last five years, that's a lot different comparing to the last 10 years. The light rail and new apartments near Alameda and Cherokee have really helped to stabilize and improve the Baker neighborhood.

However, I do want to add one thing. I think that the Stanley Marketplace will have a tremendous impact on the surrounding neighborhoods. We were house shopping the past few months, and looked at a few places up there. Today, those East Colfax neighborhoods in Aurora do not have a lot of curb appeal to the typical first time buyers looking for a good deal in a costly city. But in the next 5-10 years, I imagine that the area will really start to blossom as a result of the proximity to shops, bars, and restaurants at Stanley Marketplace. I think it'll be one of the more impactful renovations to a part of the city that really needs a boost.

I've always heard that back in the day South Broadway was a dump and kind of sketch. Now it has a really unique vibe and popping all the time on the weekends.

The time frame was given above, this year or last. But agree with what you like and listed in the area of growth.

I'd argue South Broadway has evolved even within a year.

I live on the north side in the suburbs and we have a ton of new stuff happening. We have factory outlets going up, Amazon manufacturing, a new restaurant at The Orchards that are originally from Wyoming I think, we have also had new breweries open or move to bigger locations (I love beer so that is exciting to me )!
