Buckhorn was pretty much what I wanted, thanks. Decent chunks of cow, good service and no BS.

Of course, the canoe full of critters went from cute, to odd, to creepy, to downright disturbing, but that may have been the Jack Daniel's.

I gotta chip in on Bastien's - it's just a fun atmosphere. I love it there. And while I thought the idea of a "sugar steak" was blasphemy at first, it's actually quite tasty.

They went under about two years ago. The building is still there, but Arapahoe County uses it for drills for the SWAT team and fire department(s).

once upon a time we actually went there. all good but kinda a dive. had to drag the husband in side. he refused to order tho. Did we miss out?

Judging by all of the excellent reviews on both Yelp and TripAdvisor, I'd have to say that yes you did miss out. Perhaps you could show these reviews to your husband and convince him to give it another try.
