Hi all. New to the Denver area and looking for a nice place to take a first date for drinks and maybe some live music. Preferably somewhere midway between Colorado Springs and Denver or on the south side of Denver. Nothing TOO upscale, but not looking for a dive bar either. Thanks for any recommendations.

Bit off topic... but
Consider a Colorado alternative...(to dating) worked for me and my kids... we never suffered through dating, just very fun friendships that led us to 'perfect matches' (well... at least near perfect...) never a fret of dating / rejection / false images...

just a couple options...(we did them all)
Hikes in the National Park or many other great places
Picnics with nature
Swimming (public pools) in evenings
Dinner Theater
Community Concerts in the park or performances at colleges
Mtn or road biking
fishing
hunting
climbing
hang gliding
Kite boarding
Camping
sailing
bowling
tennis
museums
ghost towns
4x4s
archery
photography events
wilderness hikes and presentations
ski days (ski train!)
Hot springs
Drives to see Aspen and elk bugle
volunteering together at community events or schools. (Building homes for Habitat was a favorite / productive thing to do), as were 'Big Bro / Big Sis / mentoring programs.
road trips
backpacking
...
eventually... $50 flights to ABQ, TUC, PHX, LA, San Diego, and SFO (for the day)

40+ yrs and still having a blast!

Best wishes.

We've definitely discussed many of those options, but unfortunately we're both pretty busy with work the next several weeks so just have time for a short date late evening after work.

Jesus Christ - give the guy a venue at Least. Such white trash on these forums. Help him out:

Vesper Lounge - great food, staff, drinks. You wont regret it.

In Castle Rock, there is a nice bar called Maddie's Biergarten. On Friday and Saturday nights they have live music with a nice relaxing vibe.

Read the Yelp reviews before wasting your money there.
