Default Need help meeting people
Hey guys need help!

I just moved to denver in Oct of last year and I'm having a trouble meeting people. Unforuntely, I happen to work with people who are a lot older and married. Being single and 27 years old, I'm looking for somebody who has something in common with me. Maybe a group with lots of 25's to 30's.


I've tried meetup and meetin.org. However, I'm looking for alternatives. Does anyone have any recommendations? Good churches with singles groups?

I had the same problem at Point Mugu and living in Ventura County (nothing but families).

Adult sports leagues
Ask your colleagues if they know any friends your age
There are young adult church groups (which believe or not I was part of strictly for social reasons - it paid off.)
Community college classes (I deliberately took Art 3D, Art 2D, when I was in an engineering undergrad just to meet chicks - it paid off.)
Yoga
Women's discount shoe stores (like fishing in a barrel)
There always seems to be lots of hot elementary school teachers....just need to find a way to meet them.
Library events
Dog training

Are there any professional associations you could join that have local chapters?

Join Facebook and then join the Denver Newbies Group. We meet every week and are in our twenties and all moved here within the last couple months. I've formed a lot of good friendships!
