Sorry it took me a while to get back to you.

Back when Denver had a residency requirement for city jobs, GVR was an enclave for people who had to live in Denver but didn't want to live close-in to downtown. After that requirement was removed GVR went downhill. When we moved back in 2011 it wasn't the greatest area. Vandalism was the primary concern then.

I don't think you'll have to worry about home invasions or getting shot in your front yard or anything like that. If you have kids in school right now I'd really put a lot of thought into whether or not to buy there because the schools aren't anything to write home about. Most are rated in the 4-5 range.

I think as housing prices continue to rise you may see more and more people looking at areas like GVR, and even further out like Watkins, Bennett, Strasburg, and Byers.

You think Castle Rock is diverse?

*ETA, got it, read through and you said it lacks diversity.

I was thinking, well maybe he means, "diverse," in like housing or geography or something. Lol.

GVR I think is pretty diverse...well....if 1/3 Black/Mexican/White constitutes diverse.. I've been told by people from CA or NY that it doesn't.

There's a neighborhood nearby called High *point I believe, that's basically GVR but part of Aurora. I think that they have their own charter school and swimming pool. We knew someone at lessons who lived there and really liked it, but also liked that they could still go to the lessons at the Aurora rec center since it was closer to their house supposedly and nicer than the other one near them.

Stay away from Taylor Morrison. Upgrade prices suck, who offers laminate as standard countertop in 2017?

Haha yep. GVR, I don't know, great prices, but there's just nothing there. I think the town center has a Wal Mart.

Castle Rock looks great, but yeah diversity isn't there, especially when I just returned from a trip to Cali.

Hey, I like formica countertops.

If doing those would save $4k, I'd go for it in a New York minute.
