I'm sorry that you feel that way! Others feel different and are investing their futures in Denver.

I went to Littleton high school and they told us, " stay here and buy a 50's ranch and someday it will be worth a fortune ! ". ...

Oh yeah - I used to double up 3-4x of those POS bags at Safeway in Denver whenever I had gatorade and mouthwash on the same trip on foot.

To each his or her own for sure. I was at a family party in NJ yesterday and a comment came up to me from an Aunt "Wait, Los Angeles is less expensive than NJ?" I said, "Yes, but only by a little." Another family member came in to blurt out how everyone is leaving NJ because it's miserable and expensive. I couldn't agree more, but I don't see any of them leaving anytime soon.

Because you appeared to already be deciding on this course of action long before before soliciting input here, then subsequently defend all your reasons to leave after others provide counterpoints to actually stay. So it appears, IMO, you posted here to just slam the changes in your hometown instead of actually invite input.

No it's a public forum I'm sorry if you find me offensive because I'm asking for input. I haven't slammed Colorado I just think for myself it's becoming too busy. You should read my original post. It has nothing to do with slamming Colorado I posted on this forum to get outside opinions. I think you're misunderstanding my position

Yes, Denver is busier and harder to live in than it used to be.

No, Denver is nowhere near being one of the busiest and hard places to live.

Yes, there are places that offer a better quality of life when it comes to traffic and affordability.

No, Denver is not the be-all, end-all answer to the question that some people think it is.

Agreed, but to put it another way:

Is Denver better than the quality of life and rat race of Northern NJ? By far, easily would've stayed in DEN instead of moving back to New Jersey.

Is Denver better than (if what you're molded by as an adult and used to as being superior to NJ) Southern California? To me with rising costs in Denver and different pace slash quality of life and insane influx of people, it's tough to get used to compared to SoCal, but easy to jump on board with when you're from NJ.

I did notice Denver get busier to a fault in the 1.75 years I lived there, BTW.
