I'm looking into relocating to Denver more and more recently . I understand it's among the top 10 most expensive cities now and only getting worse .

My job is at the Denver airport so I would like to keep my commute relatively short and stress free .
Where should I look for an apartment ? 1-2 bedroom . I would say 1200 budget but could probably stretch it to 1400 depending on if my girlfriend finds a job

Look at Green Valley Ranch. It's going to give you a good commute to the airport and be pretty budget friendly

Just a development. It's a ways from the next developed area and towards the airport. I looked at houses there and passed for a number of reasons, but if you're going to be DIA-centered it would be a good place to look.

It's a whole community. If you wander around Google Maps a while, I think you'll find all the basics. Pretty sure there's even a dispensary or two out there.

It's definitely not a place for nightlife.

80249, 80019, for the Green Valley Ranch area.

You would do well to avoid anything 80239 (east of Chambers is probably ok though).

80022 is on the north end of the airport (Reunion area). If it wasn't built within the last 15 years you don't want anything to do with it (more likely to be regular Commerce City, which you won't want).

How come bigger developments haven't been built out by the airport ?

Brighton might be a good place to check out apartments. You can get to the airport easily from there and it has everything you need including some great breweries that people like to gather in.
