Hello,

Live in Arvada. Our Patio Slider door is done-zo and needs to be replaced.

Anyone have any tips / recommendations for good companies to use? Not looking for high end, just basic vinyl white most likely.

i used thumbtack.com, if you want installation.

otherwise homeDepot will have several doors to pick from
remove the old door first, measure with care, take several measurements in case things are not square.

maybe you can fix the old unit, if you want?

Slider is cheapest solution.
But, I would look at:
* French doors
* Window wall
Both will provide a larger opening.

The most important question to ask yourself is: how many years more will you live in this house?

Old door is pretty much gone. There is a hole in the bottom vinyl part, which has allowed moisture to rise up in between the panes of glass.

Went to Lowe's the other day, and a vinyl white basic slider was around $800 and they will install for $400ish. So $1200-1300 total, plus any extra trim pieces they would need to add (per the Lowe's guy).

Also looking to have a screen / storm door put on the front.

Probably not a long amount of time that we will continue living in this house.

Not sure we could do French Doors unless they opened outwards. The patio door is right off the back of the kitchen / dining area, so if the doors swung in they'd be hitting our kitchen table area.

Window wall is an actual wall, or they are able to be opened? We need access to the backyard / deck out of this door.

Wow - incredible backyard / house!

My house is nowhere near that level. Simple 70's brick ranch in the burbs. Putting in a window wall like that, would only start a chain reaction of me needing a new patio / deck. Our deck is pretty busted, spent a ton of energy and time power washing / scraping / sanding / cleaning so we could use Behr DeckOver - and it only lasted about 6 months before it started chipping away

We had a new slider put in using Home Depot. It is great. It has the blinds built into it.

I love the wall Dave, very cool. Does it come with a screen option? Up here in EG we would get bugs.
