I don't think there is a checkpoint on I15 but there is one on I5 north of Oceanside. I have never seen anybody get stopped at it but certainly creates a jam.

Murietta isn't bad at all. I don't know anything about Menifee.

Your Zillow link only works if I have a Zillow account.

Is it new? I don't remember one ever being there and I have driven that route a lot. Either way the checkpoints tend to not stop cars unless they are on alert for something specific.

Edit: I just looked it up and it has been there for a while. I am surprised I had never noticed it.

They used to open it on most weekends, now its like once a month its open according to someone I know who does that commute. Same for the checkpoint on I-5. They probably figured out that type of traffic isn't going that way much anymore.

Supply and demand.

When my younger daughter was in college (she graduated 4 years ago), she lived in a 300 sq ft studio that was a 5th floor walk-up in the East Village in NYC. It was $2000/mo.

Honestly nothing more needs to be said. I have a hard time calling something a rip off when people are lining up to put offers on it.

The definition of ripoff does not include supply and demand. But you can’t blame someone for charging the going price.
