My memory isn't 100% anymore...too many places visited....too many bottles of wine....but IIRC at some of the shows I've been to they do the same thing by not letting people take their seats while the band is playing; they wait for the end of the song to let people get back to their seats. A nice touch actually, a bit of decorum.

I'm not a guy and silence on the golf course is for the benefit of the players. Stopping spectators from entering an area until an appropriate time is for the benefit of all the rest of the audience whose view might be blocked. And happens routinely in stadiums and theaters and event venues all around the world. People used to understand it was common courtesy to minimize disruption to others.

There's one line-item in there I wholeheartedly agree with. Don't ever start the wave at a baseball game. It's beyond stupid.

The way they are playing right now I would have to agree. Their pitching completely disappeared.
