Hello!
I am relocating to CO this summer from NY. I am considering Littleton and have learned a lot about the area. Parker CO Is also another potential place as that is an area that has a high need for my job. Can anyone tell me what Parker is like in comparison to Littleton?

Thank you so much!

Parker is more conservative and faux country.

Parker is a very suburban family-oriented community. Lots of new housing construction, tons of new apartments being built. The shopping is mostly big-box stores so if you want better shopping, you would need to go to the Park Meadows area in Lone Tree. It has a cute little downtown that's a couple of blocks long and consists of mainly restaurants. It's main street shuts down for a large farmer's market on the weekends, and festivals and concerts are held in the park there. It has a conservative vibe. The nearest light rail would be Lincoln near Park Meadows or Lone Tree when completed.

I don't think the above is quite fair. Parker was a rural, horsey town that got absorbed into suburbia. Some of the rural roots and horsiness survive. So, I would not say "faux" country.

This is fairly accurate.

Thank you for all the responses. My job will either be in Littleton or Parker, it is my choice. I am a BCBA, and I provide services to children with autism, most of my commute would be traveling to and from the homes of my clients. That would mostly be local to the area.

When I visited in April, I liked the Littleton area, it reminded me of home, which is Long Island, but less crowded. It was a little more expensive than I was looking to spend on a rental.

What I am looking for is a suburban town, with some nightlife. I am single, so I will be looking to hopefully find someone and settle down. I am not interested in living in Denver, I want to steer clear of anything like that.

So really, what I want to know how is it in comparison to Littleton. IS the weather in Parker similar? I spent all my time these last 6 months researching Littleton, that I didn't consider other areas, and Parker just came on my radar.

Thank you all so much for your input!

Don't expect much in the way of nightlife in Parker.

Let me clarify what I mean by night life... I am in no way a club person. I’d rather have a couple of drinks at a local bar wIth friends.
