When I visited Texas I loved that drive through liquor store that with frozen Daiquiris & Margaritas To-Go.

Iíve only seen them in Texas. Do we have anything like that here or are they not allowed here?

I'm going to assume that "Beer Barns" like the ones that were all over the state where I grew up are illegal in Colorado because I've never come across one, and, frankly, I'm happy about that. Those places are a magnet for unsavory people, not that you're unsavory, but in general, I mean.

It appears Eskimo Hut skirts Texas's open container law by a) using wine instead of hard liquor as the base and b) putting the cup in a heat-sealed bag (like that'll stop someone from busting into it the second they leave the window).

I can be ha

Actually a few friends of mine from texas were asking me if thereís one here, they were gonna swing by one before coming to my BBQ. I remember them from working in TX but never really looked for one around here.

They are a bad idea I suppose, but I liked them!

Are you referring to these beer barns/drive thru liquor stores? They're also legal in AZ, not sure why CO is so 1920s when it comes to certain alcohol laws.

Colorado has drive-thru liquor stores. They're not as gaudy as a Beer Barn, but they do exist.

I had no idea, as I've never encountered one. I assumed they were illegal. Where are they located?

I personally know of two. One in Craig, and the other in Brush. Did a quick google search (by no means comprehensive).

Wallaby's Liquors - Parker Rd. and Florida Ave. in Denver
Logan Liquors - 100 S Logan in Denver
Powderhorn Liquor - Mississippi and Peoria in Aurora

Then there are places like Cornerstar (Parker and Arapahoe) that offer delivery. No drive-thru necessary.

Scooter Liquors at Colfax and Park is one. But they are all over. I shopped at Wallaby Liquors when I lived in Lowry. I never used the drive through but they do have a window. Very nice people, I always liked going in and asking for suggestions, because they have great recommendations.

There are more, but they don't promote themselves solely as drive through, they are generally full service stores with a drive through window for those who want.

And it's still all sealed bottles and cans, not mixed drinks like the place OP was talking about.

There used to be a drive thru liquor on Littleton Blvd not too far from Broadway. I am not sure if it is there anymore. I will check the next time I am over there.
