Watching the Broncos this afternoon I was hoping to see a snow game. Said it's 25 degrees with 40% chance of flurries.

Too early for that. It was beautiful out Friday and Saturday so nothing much is sticking.

I was just hoping for a good game lol.

As long as it melts off and I don't need shovel, I'll happily take the snow. And it's not even that I mind the shoveling exactly, it's more that there are still likely to be patches of ice after that, and after a pretty bad injury from falling on ice a few years ago, I prefer my sidewalks and parking lots and streets to be ice-free.

Today's snow was great - looked pretty, was on a day where I had to go out but it didn't get bad enough to worry about driving in and then it obediently disappeared from paved surfaces including my south facing driveway.

We have hit a pattern that we have seen in a few years. Snow today and more coming Monday.

Default This winter in Denver

I know most of the country has had it bad this winter, but overall has this winter been one of the worst ever or a pretty normal winter in denver.

It's been a little colder than normal, but we're still below average for snowfall in Denver. February was the first time in over 2 years that Denver's had a month with above average snowfall.

The mountains, OTOH, are well-above-average for snowfall and are experiencing historic avalanches right now.

I have been here for 20 years now and this to me feels like the first real cold winter I have experienced. Spring is almost here though and I can't wait for the warmer weather.
