I’m hoping the city gets a bit fired up about how good they are this season. Anyone paying attention?

No.
Why?
Professional sports need to die.

Good luck with that sentiment. The 5 million tickets sold by the Rockies, Broncos, Avs and Nuggets this year would suggest it isn't happening.

There was a good atmosphere for the last Nuggets game last night and the last Avs game I went to earlier this month, but still some empty seats. As always, until the Broncos are done neither team captures full attention.

The poor Nuggets have always been underappreciated as far as professional sports go in Colorado - imho.

Not true, at one time they were the hottest ticket in town, but 30 years of bad/cheap ownership and bad luck with major injuries almost ruined what was once a great franchise.

The Nuggets are the youngest team in the league and currently leading the western conference and with Jokic running the offense they are in my opinion the most entertaining team in the league to watch and cheer for. It appears that they are finally starting to get support as they have had more sell outs already this season than they did last year, but they do need more support.

I think college sports needs to die, at least in its current form, and I’m a huge college basketball fan.

I don’t see the issue with pro sports. If people want to pay to pros to watch them play, then they should. I’m much more a fan of the NBA as far as pro sports leagues go than any of the others.

I don't follow the NBA at all, not since the 90s. Good for the Nuggets.

Go Avalanche!

Well, I guess what I mean is that Denver's appreciation of sports is often limited to who is winning. Not all cities have that attitude when it comes to appreciating their local professional teams.
