Default Where to go for first overnight away from baby??

My husband's birthday is coming up and since we haven't left our 14 month old in, well, 14 months, I thought it would be fun to spend a night out, just the two of us. We moved to Denver a month ago so I have no idea about where to escape for the night. I want a nice, unique hotel where we can get fabulous meals and maybe even a massage. Any thoughts?

The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs offers all of that. They have some nice packages and it is in a gorgeous setting.

If you want to stay in the Denver area, check out hotels in Inverness or Meridian (near the Denver Tech Center). I believe they have some that fit your criteria.

I think it would highly depend on your budget.

The Broadmoor is a good thought as stated above, but, what's your budget. The Brown Palace is also along those lines and since they are a pretty high service place (not sure if they are a five star like The Broadmoor) but it's close in to where you live and if you need to, you can be home real quick for your child.

There's the Inverness Hotel and Conference "resort" in Englewood (actually it's east of I-25 from Lonetree --- around Countyline Road). I've been there many times and they have the best brunch and my dad and brothers have been to their golf course many times too. It might be a bit more affordable if you aren't looking for 5 star. I love their grounds and I didn't live far from there either so it's a bit of country in the city, if you will. They have do have a spa too.

There are a lot of options in the Denver Metro area but I think the Inverness might meet your needs. Call them and see if they fit the bill. Denver Colorado Hotels & Resorts | The Inverness Hotel & Conference Center | Golf Spa Vacation

Congrats on wanting to be a couple and get out for a night of "just us adults". It may be hard for the first time but at least you would still be close enough to enjoy it and if something comes up you are not too far.

Right before Christmas I got a great deal on priceline.com for the new Hyatt (next to the convention center). I paid just $60. My hubby and I went to an Avs game, then had a late dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. Not quite a five-star experience, but the hotel is new, has comfy beds, outdoor hot tubs, and a fantastic view. We liked that it was still close -- we could hop on the light rail and be back to our kids in a flash if need be.

If you have the time and $, the Broadmoor is definitely a fantastic place to stay. I'd recommend that you stay there at least once in your life! :-) It's a bit of a splurge, but it's so worth it.

lol Denverjoe.
Good recommendations so far, I will add to them the Hotel Monaco.
My husband once surprised me with an overnight visit there, it was great.
I just *love* their retro decor, that lobby is fabulous.
The Hotel Monaco has the Renaissance Aveda Spa on site, also they offer in-room spa services.
