Parkway Apts. (house, campus, price)

Does anyone know about this place? It's on Speer, downtown. We are thinking of renting here, but years ago when I lived downtown I remember thinking that this was a spring break party kind of place. I sure hope not. They have good rates and amenities. All of the reviews I find are old. So I just don't know. Anyone?

They do have a LOT of Auraria Campus students there, and really market themselves to the student community. As you'd expect, where you have students, you have parties, drinking, etc, though I don't think it's way out of hand there.

hmm, we were also looking at Uptown Village, same rep., but were hoping Parkway wouldn't be as bad. Thanks for the feedback!

My boyfriend (now husband) lived there for a few years, probably between 2000-2005. You can't beat the location if you want to be close to downtown, and their prices are known to be reasonable. It was, however, kind of a party place when he was living there, although we didn't mind it at the time. We never heard his neighbors or anything like that & I would say it was pretty pleasant living there. On the downside, Speer Blvd can be really noisy with the firehouse just up the street; if you are in a unit facing Speer.

hey thanks cobeachgirl! I sort of thought it might be a young, party place, especially based on what the poster above you said. We love the location. Good thinking about Speer. About 5 years ago we lived on Corona and Speer and it was really noisy what with the ambulances and fire trucks heading up there. So I guess we are prepared, but maybe we can get one facing the west instead.
