Hi. I saw a job in Denver that matches my current experience (it's with the RTD), and thinking about applying. Colorado is absolutely beautiful! I've been a few times on vacations. Everyone just seemed very happy as well. I currently live in NJ, so I don't know if the company would seriously consider me. I'm thinking about maybe leaving my address off my resume. I have the money to move without assistance, but don't want to just move without a job. People do it, but it must be stressful.

Generally, like living in any other large American city. Except with mountains and thinner air.

You can get pretty good Mexican in the Northeast if you know where to look. Surprisingly high Hispanic population, more PR/islands than Mexico/SA, even in the rural areas.

Haven't found Denver lacking in anything except good seafood at reasonable prices, which is completely unsurprising.

I recall a very good Guatemalan place a little south of downtown Trenton...

Living in Denver is highly variable and tends to be a different experience based on any number of differing factors.

Obviously the physical environment is radically different. Weather can change in the blink of an eye. Massive hail, deadly lightning, snow and blizzards, and tornadoes are all possible. Forget about doing most water sports.

People experiences also seem to be highly variable from friendly and accepting to stand-offish and cold. I think a lot of that has to do with personal interaction, perception, and actions. Culture is more homogeneous and less rigid. Population density is radically different than Jersey.

If your a renter, its expensive as hell. If your a home buyer, its steep in entry price but reasonable in taxes. Registering your personal car is expensive and can be frustrating. Most other daily necessities are not too different. Gasoline is cheaper.

Outdoors sports and activities abound. They can be done year round. You can wear shorts and flip flops while biking in January. Springs skiing in shorts and bathing suits is an experience. Halloween and St Patrick's Day parties in snow boots and parkas is always a possibility.

There are bubbles in Denver. Highlands Ranch is very different than Stapleton. Aurora is very different than Golden. Every neighborhood has its own positives and negatives and they all are pretty different.
Generally the traffic is getting worse. Home prices are some of highest in the country and the air quality is also getting bad.
Restaurants are getting better, but also harder to get into.
Drivers are more aggressive, but light rail is nice.
Winter seems to last longer, but start later.
Major league sports rule. Skiing is harder to get to and from because of traffic. Hiking trails along the front range have more people on them than even just 5 years ago.
But, you can buy pot now. So there’s that.

On a day like today, if you don't have to be in the traffic, it's absolutely spectacular.
