ah yes, crocs, that hideous invention aka garden shoes. ha!
Celestial Seasonings, good too. How about the now retired Bula? Anyone know of them? And let's not forget the most important Colorado-born business - Rocky Mtn. Chocolate Factory. Born in my hometown. ![]() |

DH and I have lived here 27 yrs and have never owned a Subaru! Currently we own a Honda CR-V and a Toyota Corolla. We did not have a 4WD until 5 yrs ago when we bought the CR-V. We went up into the mtns a lot with 2WD. Tell your DH you don't need one.

This is all good info for us when we move to Denver in mid-May. I have so far resisted the urge to buy a Subaru, AND Crocs, but who knows? I'm looking for a Honda Pilot shortly after we land.
I might be in the minority here, but I don't much care for Ricky Mtn Chocolate - except for their dipped apples. Those are divine! |

oh just you wait. I often buy their english toffee as gifts and don't get me started on their fudge...*drool*
I think Crocs and Subarus are something you fall into after some time. Maybe you can fight the urge! Hey, I'm a native and I will not buy those croc things. Although I do own two pairs of Danskos!! oh and the 4 wheel drive? IMHO I don't think you really need it, unless you live outside of the city. I've been driving a front wheel drive now for years and I do just fine. Quote:

Oooh, I like this thread! Very good observations so far.
Another Subaru (aka Scooby Doo) owner here, but, in my defense, I bought it in Maryland...and it's black. As soon as we find a house near spouse's workplace (that's a whole 'nother thread), it's out of here! That thing has been a mechanical nightmare since we bought it, and I want it gone. |

Great observations! When I moved here in September I got a CO driver's license and registered my car with CO tags within the first 3 weeks. My friends here at work said that I'm still not an officially CO resident until I buy a subaru!
I disagree with the smoking. I actually notice it less than back in Ohio, MD or MA - my last 3 places of residence. The other great observation of CO- beer! There are so many local breweries!! |

Qdoba was also founded in Denver. Noodles & Co in Boulder. I used to live near the Noodles HQ.
Old Chicago is ok with me.. I think part of the reason many Coloradans like it is because they offer so many beers. Most of the ones I've been to offer 100-110. I think I have 25 or so on my WBT. ![]() |
