I am a big fan of "hospital zone" 9th & Colorado - lots of med student & medical professionals. Apts and condos built in the 1950's (so don't eat the paint) reasonably priced...You can buy a two bed two bath for $115,000 with a carport or rent for $1000.

Default Upscale Apartment or Rent House
My wife and I are moving from Houston to Denver this month. We will be looking for an upscale apartment, 2-3 bedrooms, garage, storage area would be nice. We could also be interested in a nice rental house, especially rent-to-own. We would appreciate any suggestions and information....Art

You can try RentClicks at http://www.rentclicks.com/ for rental housing. Some of those are a rent to own.
