Actually, May is looking to come in significantly below normal (right now it is -1.7F for the month at DIA, which sounds small but is not). April was -1.5F below normal. Now spring 2006, that was hot - more than 3F above normal in April and May.

If you have to work in Denver, that could be trying on your nerves in the winter, as I25 traffic is heavy from all the people that do the 60 miles. Gas is cheaper in Colorado than most states. You run into a bit of a heavy religeous element in CS, but thats a topic for another thread.
"Religioius element"...Please!! I live in the "Buckle of the Bible Belt (Tulsa,Ok). I am an evangelical christian with conservative-type values, and I can't stand most of my own! I mean it. I lived in "liberal" L.A. and I would rather be around atheists who are sincere, and open-minded than to be around so-called bible-believing, born again hatemongers and ignoramuses!

I would love to be in Colorado crazy weather! Right now it's 92 in Pueblo, but 97 here in Mcallen, Tx. the difference, Pueblo will cool off and we will probably get down to 79/80 degrees at night. On May 23rd we got so hot, the heat index was 118 degrees watch this :
Friday Afternoon Weather Extra
We will be stuck in this pattern until a real cold front pushes in on October, then we may "cool" to 80 in the day and 60s at night. This is the one place people pray for a hurricane to give us rain and cool us off, not the strong winded ones, but the ones with rain.

Why? We love the weather extremes in Oklahoma! I was raised in Los Angeles where the average winter temp was 78 F, and the avg summer temp was 86! Nothing but sunshine all year. No thank you.

I love the seasonal weather. You Denverites should be happy with your weather. It might slow some of the cali's down... just a tiny bit. ya think? Naw.

I lived in Orange County/L.A. for 12 years and it's by no means an average of 78 all winter. Average highs get into the upper 60s and lows in the 40s from late November through early April, plus you get rain in the winter. There's definitely a winter in L.A., just more subtle.
