Oh, you found a couple dozen days in the last century that exceed denverian's range. Have you ever heard the saying "Lies, damn lies, and statistics"? Do you actually live in Colorado or do you just quote weather records?

Denverian, do you work for the Denver Chamber of Lies, I mean Chamber of Commerce? Are you the one who came-up with the "300 days of sunshine"? NOAA refuted that claim of "300 days" and stated that it was actually 245 days. Is NOAA lying or is the Chamber of $$$, lying?

Weather is weather. Only sweet Mother Nature herself has any control over it all we mere people can do is live with it. There is no place on earth that has perfect weather and no climate challenges. So deal with it. What's all this yelling about? Who cares really? All you have to do is choose what weather you would most like to be challenged by. Do you perfer heat, snow, tornados, rain, hurricanes, mud slids, fires, volcanos, floods, earthquakes, ect ? Then try to find a place that has just the weather you find acceptable and go there. Although weather is always changing so you might be moving around a bit. All the yelling, moaning, and bellyaching about the weather is pointless. "You can't stop the rain by complaining." Or by counting how many days it rains. I mean who really cares if it is 200 or 300 sunny days a year. Today is sunny. That's enough for me.

I think the Chamber is adding the "clear" and "partly cloudy" days together. They aren't the first to have embellished weather stats.

While I generally agree with you, the _koolcat, I think we all have our weather preferences. People from sunny climates sometimes go bonkers in places like Seattle and Portland. Some Seattlites of my acquaintance complain about how dry and sunny Denver is; they like the clouds and wet. But I do agree, no place is perfect, and every place has weather hazards.

Blizzard conditions as in blowing snow? Because I can think of only two really good storms in the past few years.

Good point!

I just finished talking to a fellow Denver resident and she has lived here ALL her life. She admitted that the WINTERS CAN BE HARSH and in NO WAY are they "mild". Also, she stated she hates the WIND out in Denver. That is being HONEST. Now, if you ask denverian or the Denver Chamber of Lies, they will tell you differently.

The Denver Chamber has gotten in trouble for their "embellishment" but they continue to do it. The "standard" that was used by the Denver Chamber of Lies is that if a 24 day had at least 1 hour of indirect sunlight (a sun beam shining between clouds), it would qualify as being a SUNNY DAY. Even though the weather stations and NOAA would NOT call that a "partly cloudy" day, NOAA would label it as a MOSTLY CLOUDY day, the Denver Chamber of lies chose to call it a sunny day.

The more people they can get to live here, the more money they make. It is a scam.
