LBear got somethin' to say
Denver Colorado -- hey the weather
Ain't no good today
How 'bout Monday? uh-uh, Tuesday? Nope
Oh to live in Denver,
Gotta be a dope
Yeah but LBear, you know he's no fool
Gettin' ready for Phoenix,
Sittin' by the pool
Speakin' with Jesus in the desert air
The good Lord to LBear sayeth
Them gays, they been sinnin'
And Denverian, he been lyin'
And that's just the beginnin'
Cuz Jesus speak straight into LBear's ear
And LBear gotta repeat the sayin'
For all to hear
So let us all praise him and say,
Yo LBear, Yo LBear you got it right
In Denver it does in fact
Get dark at night
How else he gonna let it go
He's right, gotta tell him so
Denver got some bad weather,
His duty to let everybody know
Cannot deny, you got the facts
Please now go to Phoenix,
Go to Phoenix and relax
Denver got some hot, Denver got some cold
Can't say with LBear
You ain't been told
Wednesday got the hail and rain
Thursday got the snow
Friday, oh it was insane
And then whatta ya know
Saturday come with a wind so loud,
what else we in for
Oh no, Sunday got a cloud,
LBear can't take no more
Valley of the sun
Here he come
Movin' to paradise
LBear, he just gotta get some

[SIZE=2]Please hold your applause till the end:
I don’t know but Ive been told,
Denver weather gets mighty old
Told it was the new sunbelt
Driveway snow just wouldn’t melt
Gots so cold, I lost my toes
Losing season for Broncos
Ruined my picnics with out fail
Almost died from baseball hail
Now I live in the South West
Hot/warm weather is the best
Driving safely is real nice
No more slippin on the ice
One thing great about phoe-nix
theres less clothes on these chicks

I totally agree with Katiana. Unless you've lived in the snowbelt region of the midwest, on one of the great lakes....YOu have no idea what snow really is.
Spend a winter in Buffalo, and you'll never want to see snow again.
Colorado has nothing on that.

Human Body Temp = 98.6. Current temp in Phx = 98.6. Perfect outdoor temp = 98.6. Unless your brain is frozen and dumb has taken over.

98.6 = too damn hot. Have you forgotten that humans are warm-blooded and generate a considerable amount of heat on our own?

Its 108 here in Phoenix, and that feels so much beter on my skin and face than 3 degrees and a wicked bite of the wind. In fact, it feels good oddly enough. Just make sure ya use sunscreen.

Yeah, but it only hit 3 degrees twice last winter, at night. Phoenix is 100+ for months!
Personally I find both situations miserable. If it's over 100, I'm stuck inside in the A/C. If it's a high of 15, I'm also stuck inside, but with the heat on. Why can't it be sunny and 75 every day of the year???

OFFICIAL NOAA SNOW STORMS THAT CAUSED BLIZZARDS FOR DENVER:
December 21, 2006
December 25 2007
December 10-11 2007
December 5-9 2007
January 05-07 2007
April 10-11 2005
March 17-20 2003
Getting back to this lie that denverian told:
Winds speeds recorded on Jan. 7th, 2007:
CENTENNIAL AIRPORT 56MPH
ARAPAHOE PEAK 89MPH
ELDORADO SPRINGS 115MPH
GOLDEN 89MPH
GENESEE 76MPH
DACONO 77MPH

Denverian, do you work for the Denver Chamber of Lies, I mean Chamber of Commerce? Are you the one who came-up with the "300 days of sunshine"? NOAA refuted that claim of "300 days" and stated that it was actually 245 days. Is NOAA lying or is the Chamber of $$$, lying?
|
All you're doing is twisting facts to fit your BIG LIE!!!
Starting at the bottom, Golden, Genessee, etc. AREN'T DENVER. I don't have a wind gauge at my house, but you claim that 60mph. winds are common in Denver. Anyone who lives here knows that's a total exaggeration. I'm sure at some point in history, there was a 60 mph. gust in the city of Denver, but it's not daily or even common. Hell, the Santa Ana winds when I lived in L.A. were more annoying than anything I've experienced in Denver.
Blizzards - apparently NOAA has a very different definition of "blizzard". Everyone in Denver agrees that 12/21/06 was a blizzard. However, none of the Dec. 2007 dates was a blizzard. It snowed about 6" on Christmas, which was a record for the date, I believe. The weather people made a big deal out of it because Denver rarely sees a white Christmas. And I just checked NOAA and no "blizzards" were listed for last December. NCDC Storm Events-Select State Ask anyone in Denver when the last blizzard was and they'll tell you Dec. 2006. Before that, I've heard there was a Spring blizzard around 2003?
You try to twist things and make it sound like if someone moves to Denver, they'll be subjected to blizzards multiple times, every winter, which we all know just isn't the case.
Your other little quote about wind - 100 mph. in Denver? Seriously, if that had happened, it would have blown windows out of skyscrapers and downed a million trees. Never happened, in other words. There are foothill areas that are prone to high winds, like Rocky Flats. I worked there one summer and they would get wind warnings where everyone would go to the parking lot and turn their cars with the windshields toward the mountains to avoid having side windows blown out. But that's a localized issue due to wind funneling down the mountains, and it's not an area where many people live.
Again, all you're doing is trying to twist facts to make Denver sound like a climate worse than Barrow, AK.
So what can you say about this past weekend to make Denver sound awful? Was the humidity "so low it caused Denverites' skin to crack and bleed, sending thousands to the emergency room"? Did the sun at this altitude cause "a rash of skin cancer outbreaks"? Did the pleasant night temps cause people to oversleep as their bedrooms were too comfortable with the windows open?

Winters are harsh in Denver. Yes, they are, and I don't care for them. But there are nice days in winter too. And I've lived in other climates - Europe, the Midwest - and I prefer the winters in Denver over either of those places because they don't or rarely get nice winter weather, whereas in Denver, there are days in winter where you can go take a walk in shorts, or a light jacket. Now THAT's being HONEST! I'm not trying to convince anyone we have the climate of San Diego!
