Default Remember "the Woosie" At Cheesman Park, 1971?

I Attended Parties At "the Woosie", Located In A Small Building, Behind The Pillars Of Congress Park. The Building Was Part Of A Huge Mansion That Lined The Back Of The Park.

Are you talking about Cheesman Park, or Congress Park?
Plenty of large, stately homes back up to Cheesman, but not so many at Congress.
I do remember going to late-night get-togethers at Congress in '71 and '72, also the hill at Hale Park (can't remember that park's real name.)
And there was the occasional kegger at Little Cheesman.

We used to go to Sundial Park...I think it's name is Kramner but we used to call it cramit. East Denver. 1971-72 Grew up a few blocks north of Hale-used to sled down the hill.

Default it was Chessman!

Thanks for the seeing my mistake. It was Cheesman, in the summer, 1971. You must have been on the same "parties at the parks". I graduated from St. Mary's Academy. Us "girls" went to the "kegs" in East and South East Denver. I think the boys from Regis the place in Cheesman. It was a fun time back then. We use to drive my father's 1967 convertible mustang down Colorado Blvd. singing our hearts out to the Beatles and the Stones! Fun days in the city!

Thank you clearing it my mistake up. It was Cheesman. Sounds like you were following some of the "kegs at the parks" like myself. Those were the "days of summer"! kj

Don't take this wrong... did you grow up Catholic. I did and usually if that's the case, we would know each other. It was a small world back then. kj
