the first time you turn them on there is a little bit of a mustyness, it quickly goes away, and if you change the filters every season it is not a problem. They will not use your existing ductwork for the unit, it will place a grill in your ceiling where the unit pushes the air through, or a window unit which will push the air through only the unit itself.

Its on the xcel website, depending on the unit its a $200 or $500 rebate good till December 2008.
