wanttomoveeast: set up what works for you, and see what the interest is. You are the one willing to do the work.

hey guys, no worries. We are all different, work different, live different. Katiana: thanks, you are right.
ok, so since some of you are moving here in a few days, we'll wait a little while for you to get adjusted.
The happy hour will be somewhere either right on or off the 16th St. Mall. 5ish. And we can all get home by 7pm. Or hopefully so. I'll keep the thread alive by posting again in a couple of days or so.
Good luck Koolcat, and don't worry Denver's not that scary, you'll be fine. You can also always post here if you need help. There are a lot of locals here who know Denver really well, me included. It'll be fun for you to get a whole new change of scenery. I think it's healthy for us to get new scenery. It's why I wanttomoveeast. hahaha. But really, change is good. Gets us out of our rut.

Thank you!!! I have that excited scared thing going on. You know like when your standing in line to get on a huge carnival ride! I can't wait but it feels like I am holding my breath. I am now in the sadest part about making a move, saying bye to the people here. It's hard but it is without a doubt time for a change!! Thanks again. I do plan to continue using and posting here. I have already recieved such good help from locals here already....thanks to everyone ! TWO DAYS and counting.

Depending on the specific day/time, I'll try and go. I can give you all the inside info on Miami that would take too long to write. Lots of both good and bad there.

Sounds awesome! I'm waiting for a couple of new transients to make it here. It doesn't have to be a huge group, in fact I think it's better if it's just a few of us. And won't be all night either. Just a drink or two.
Re: Miami. At this point I'm not looking for info re: good/bad thoughts, but more logistical information such as mass transit, neighborhoods, rent cost, work. Cities are cities and are going to come with all kinds of stuff, good and bad, and that's exactly what I want. I'm am so ready for a change of scenery. Thanks for the offer, I'd love to talk to you more about it.

OK cool. I can fill you in on a lot of the logistical issues you are interested in, especially Miami-Dade, but also Broward if you are looking there also.

Do we wear nametags with our monikers??? Or do we let others guess who we really are??? Maybe, we should wear a plain board with people to write on and say who we are?? and then we see who is correct. Unfortunately, I will be instantly recognizable because I will be the ugliest person there and certainly when I open my big mouth--that obnoxious New Yawk accent will tell all. Maybe I should come in drag???
Eh, for me it has to be on a public transit route--I have a reputation to maintain. The place has to be cheap, real cheap--
perhaps we can go for "Surf and Turf"-- a hamburger and a fish sandwich at McDonalds----it use to work for my dates years ago, you know, when gas was 25 cents, hamburgers 12 cents and a fish sandwich was 15 cents, coke was 10 cents; the fat girl always fries, an extra 10 cents almost broke my budget------Ah, those were the days.

I just discovered this thread. Is a happy hour meetup really going to happen? Because if it happens sometime in the next two and a half weeks, count me in!

I'm thinking of places like Brickell, possibly Miami Beach, Coral Gables, and even possibly Ft. Lauderdale. I'll talk to you later about it. Thanks again for offering your expertise!
