Hey DenverAztec, if you ever happen to be stuck in Phoenix on a Sunday morning, go to the Golden Buddha at the Chinese Cultural Center (44th st & 202). That's where I first tried dim sum. It was an interesting dining experience, not my favorite thing, but glad I tried it. I have no clue if it's any good or not, but I spotted a dim sum restaurant in my Parker Rd photo tour:

This was on Parker Rd (on the west side of the road) in one of those sprawling strip malls between Dartmouth and Havana. Let me know how the adventure goes!

Hey VegasPilgrim,

I have seen this place but have not tried it. I have, however, tried out the some of the Pho places on Havana, just north of Iliff, and was comfortable enough with them to go back a few times. I will have to give this one a try and I will let you know when what it is like. When our office first moved to that area, we only have basic fast food, one Chinese place and a few Mexican diners. Now there are at least 10 Mexican, 5 Chinese, a few European deli types, Eastern Indian, and several types of Asian beyond Chinese. Nice change!

I have not heard of Dim Sum before. Concidering where I came from that is not surprising! It sounds wonderful. I would especially like to go with someone knowledgable to get the very best experiance. I really love it here. BTW Lola's was devine. What a great place. I look forward to going back there with a group, friend, or maybe even a date!

There are tons of different types of food served at a Dim Sum meal and you will have plenty to choose from, most are small sizes. Moby's wife knows her Dim Sum well and hopefully she can join us. I know what I like but there are still many dishes I have not yet experienced but always willing to try.

Lola's can be a romantic place, inside, but the outside is for professional career drinkers!

I love Lola's happy hour. Although they took away their beer and shot combo that was $5 I think. Guac is good, and the patio is excellent for people watching. Parking can be a toughie, but I don't mind walking.

We could make it sometime after Aug.10 if you guys want to wait that long? Maybe Superstar Asian, The Empress or King's Land? All are on West Alameda fairly close to Federal. If you don't want to wait we could do it again in a few months and we could join you then. We just have a lot of things going on in the next few weeks.

Yikes, we are getting very busy what with all the bbq/chili festivals I must attend. My H starts the fall semester on Aug. 10, so I don't know if we can meet for that?! I could certainly go though. I've never been to any of Moby's list, I'd love to try them.
