The Denver Center for Performing Arts is literally a stones throw away from the Crown, both on 14th and about 2-3 blocks away from each other.
As the date of your visit gets closer, please keep a watch on the Happy Hour plans for March and remind us of your visit. Additionally, if you have plans to check out a specific neighborhood, we can plan a Happy Hour in that area so you can get a real good feeling of the place, and we can all try something new.

Have you considered using meetup.com to organize a monthly group get together?
I'd be up for following it, making specific trips to Denver during those times. I plan to be here for good by May or June, XOXOXO Fingers crossed!!!
Thanks for organizing these meetings.

SLCrising: I think you mentioned meetup before, but I really would prefer to keep this limited to CD as that's what it's all about. Thanks for the thoughts though. You can always follow our get togethers via this thread.
Denver: I thought Park Central was on Lawrence on the other side of 16th? If you are headed down 15th and make a right on Lawrence, there is a underground parking lot that is $5 after 5pm. It's right across from Writer Sq.?
ok, so meet in the lobby at 5pm this Sat. See you!
oh and I quit drinking. just kidding!!!!!!

You are most welcome, but I need to share the thanks with WantsToStay.
Funny you mention that site as it came up in a discussion at one of our Happy Hours. I think WantsToStay said that she attend one group meeting set up through meetup.com and the folks were not what she expect and would not want to hang with them.
City-Data folks are unique on their own and that discussion caused me to post this thread:
http://www.city-data.com/forum/denve...ml#post6635098
We are all here for various reasons and it is nice to have our thread thoughts roll over into live discussions. This way we can argure, disagree, comiserate, agree in person but in a laughing tone verse the miscommunication of emotions with just comments. Troll discussions are always the best but we often find out that we have all been called trolls ourselves at one point or another.
If you can't make it this Saturday for the next Happy Hour, try for March the 13th or 14th. We will shoot for that weekend that Spot and his wife will be in town.
Cheers!

Just a small correction, it wasn't meetup groups that were unfriendly, but another site that shall go unmentioned here. It was full of a bunch of very young, snotty, missies. No thanks. I much prefer an intellectual, but respectful debate amongst other like-minded people.

Most definitely, as well as others we've met here who do join us. It is amusing how the complainers never bother to show. We really are a normal group people!
Denver: Did you catch my question about Park Central parking? Check back a page or so.

I just went out and checked out the meetup.com and the groups seem pretty specific with topics and groups. I would have no idea what to label our group as we are all so opinionated and come from totally different backgrounds. So far the only evident common trait we share is that we are all "Americans who like Happy Hours." If I started that kind of a meetup group we would have to rent out the convention center.

Yes, this is correct. You turn into the parking garage off of Lawrence between 15th and 16th on the right hand side. You will go down below street level but take the elevator up.
ok, so meet in the lobby at 5pm this Sat. See you!

Yes, I stand corrected, you attended the "Salatious Tank-kini Babes Who Jello Wrestle" blogging group Happy Hour.

I will just have to try and keep up with you guys on the threads then. I believe I am supposed to be in town that weekend before St. Pat's Day. I will make better plans by then however and definitely try for a happy hour that weekend.

I am so sorry to post this, but I will be unable to attend Happy Hour due to the hour. I work all the way near Boulder (Rocky Mountain Airport) and I won't be off work till 7pm. Still trying to get off early to attend the Rich Dad seminar! It's not easy with my job. And well, it's an employer's market right now!
