They had a really good beer list (on tap), I didn't check out their food menu.
Forgot to mention we also went down to the Hornet, three blocks away, to escape the noise. I have always loved the Hornet. As usual, we had good service. And it was much more quiet although very busy.

Well good! We will have to keep it on options for future gatherings. There is a ton of places in that area and some have patios that are great in the summer. I am thinking Highlands or East Colfax for the next one?

Best wishes with the interview - study all you can, if you haven't already, about the company and show confidence to them. Do us proud!!!

Hope things went great at happy hour and we will definitely be joining you when we move here in a couple of months!
On a positive note, we found a couple of houses we like in Wash Park and Platt Park and we are heading to littleton today to take a look. Monday we are looking at commercial space for offices, etc... Our plans to move here in May are taking final form.
Have a great week everyone!

The party can always wait, priorities first! Washington and Platte Parks are wonderful areas and very close to all the core action. Englewood isn't that far and may be able to find better deals because it is the burbs, it just all depends on what you want from the city.
Sorry I had to miss yesterday, but my mental juices are already thinking Meade Street Station in the Highlands or Atomic/Rock Bar or Mezcal on East Colfax. The food at Mezcal reminded me of Casa Bonita, but the drinks and the environment were great.

Saturday in Baker
Nice to meet the KoolKat, D-Town, and his friend...we all took turns discouraging Wannts from moving to Miami..LOL..She knows what she wants...and has done her research..so she will be fine if that is where she decides to live and attend law school..I had never been to the Irish Hound, and had personally not spent a whole lot of time in Baker district recently outside of showing a condo or two...funky..cool little area..lots of activity..the partiers were out in FULL force there yesterday..I had my Sprite and went to bed at 11 PM Lol...my ears rang for an hour or so after I left..so much for my younger years partying on the sunset stip in Hollywood. Sorry to hear Denver Aztec was under the weather, and was confined back at troll fighting headquarters after returning from Dallas. It was another post card clear day in the Mile High..we need some snow/rain or something though..this lizard skin is getting kind of fierce..Maybe a little Miami humidity is the ticket..Nice to get some further perspective on the Bay area from former San Fran. residents.. D-Town and friend..KoolKAT clued me in on Wyoming..said she's caught two whole fish in her life..I thought all residents there were born with angler's genes..Not the case though..See you guys soon in a lower decibel environment..Scott

Yeah man, I took all the precautions possible! Used the two sprays below on all toilet seats, even though I didn't sit, and all over the planes and on a few suspicious looking folks. I even made sure my flight was nowhere near Sillwaulkee or Prescott, but one of those damn trolls managed to lick my arm or the handle of my luggage.

Yeah, that place made me feel a little old. I left w/ a major headache! I think it was mostly that loud due to St. Pat's. I bet that ordinarily it isn't so loud. Nice try on discouragement but no luck.
The Baker Dist. is pretty neat. It's grown a lot since I used to hang out around there.

Wolf: It is a neat way of communicating, CD that is. I love Baker and Platte areas. Hope you find what you neat.
Spot: Aren't you in law? I saw you post about the CBA saying that there is an abundance for law firms. I can see that, but yeah, also dependent on what you are doing. Tons of civil lit. here, PI, but also huge and upcoming is oil & gas, and IP. I'm in estate/probate admin./lit. and it's quite busy for us - there's always rich folks kicking the bucket. But more importantly, those rich folks are in abudance and need to know how to keep their big $$ from being taxed thru the nose.
I really hope to meet you both soon.

We too are heading to Littleton today to check out apartments... Thanks to this forum, we'll also be swinging through Baker and Platt Park. That's why I like this little virtual community, finding the lesser known but killer cool areas. Thanks guys.

Just one example of many reasons I didn't fit in in Wyoming. I think I might have been one of those babies switched at birth. I should have always lived in the city. I am here now and really glad I am!

I had a good time at the meet up. There was good conversation and a festive environment. I was even beaded by the rover staff and given a neat little key flash light. Oh do I like light gadgets. The C-D members there are good people too. Its good to know that Denver has hoods outside of its core that are happening. I noticed a bar around the corner from the rover that was quite packed. I highly recommend others to come to the meet up, particularly if your new to Denver. It's a great way to meet people and explore the perks of the mile high.

Glad you made it too D-Town. I hope to see you at future gatherings! We try to choose different spots so people can see more of the city, although generally the places we meet are downtown or surrounding.

I'm super slammed right now, but would like to meet. Can we do something different, a tea house maybe? I've really been getting into them lately.
