Happy Hour? (Denver, Boulder: gym, sushi, distance)

I catch the 0 to work. It stops all along 17th street to Broadway and Colfax and of course all the way up South Broadway. Anywhere along the mall, E. Colfax, or S. Broadway will be great.

Excellent. How does next Friday, the 29th, at 4:30 at the Funky Buddha sound for those interested? It is on Lincoln between 7th and 8th, just south of Le Central French restaurant and across the street from the big black Blue Cross/Anthem building? They have a cool roof top patio and tons of on and off street parking. Let me know how the works for those interested in a Happy Hour meet up next week!

went there last weekend and witnessed a girl getting groped by an agressive man. the girl tried to tell the bouncers about him and was blown off time after time, even the GM let the man stay and continue to be served alchohol and prey on other girls. would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

That can happen at any bar, sadly. However, the roof top at 4:30 is pretty dead and we can have it to ourselves. Wanttomoveeast and I were there a few months back and it was just fine for Happy Hour.

I'll be there (as long as it isn't raining).

What's the parking situation? Maybe I should take this opportunity to try out the rail system, but I don't know the nearest station.

Only a small section of the patio is actually exposed, so rain shouldn't be an issue.

Parking is very easy to find as there is a huge lot right next to the building and it is pretty vacant. I use street parking as it is cheaper if you are only there for a few hours. Meter expiration times vary, 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00, it just depends on what is near by. This place will be hopping by 10:30/11:00 and there may be live music or a d.j. at 9:30. I don't plan to stay that late.

There is not a light rail line close by but the 0 bus runs on Lincoln and on Broadway very frequently and you can either catch it from a rail line downtown or at I-25 and Broadway.

Here is the web site for Funky Buddha. It is a decent place to carry on a conversation for a Happy Hour. It gets lound later in the night in the basement lounge, but we will be just fine on Friday the 29th at 4:30!

I'll be there, though my week's schedule has not taken shape yet. It's sort of amorphous. If for any untoward reason I'm pulling out, I'll post by wednesday or something.

By the way, I checked the website, no word of the menu. Man I want nachos and chicken breast
