Greetings folks...I am moving to Castle Rock within a few weeks and am interested in the various Micro Breweries between Denver and Colorado Springs. I am looking for the establishments that are not chains.
I was there a few weeks back and went to Breckenridge Brewery and really liked it. I have also found online, the Rockyard in Castle Rock, but have never been. Have you been to the Rockyard? Any other good recommendations for Micro breweries between Denver and Colorado Springs??? I am coming out tomorrow for about 5 days and plan on visiting a few Thanks ![]() |

I never went to the brewery in Cast Rock, but saw it many times and it looked nice. I like Rock Bottom Brewery which is across the street from Park Meadows Mall in Lone Tree. There is another one in Lone Tree right off of 470. It has a really nice upper deck with a gorgeous view. It think it is called LoDo or something like that. It is right down from Babies R Us and across the street from Claim Jumper. Can't remember the name now.

I live in Castle Rock and have been to Rockyard quite often - seriously, I don't have a problem!! My wife and I go about every other week or so. Very good beer. They typically have about 6 -8 beers available including 1-2 seasonals. The food is very good as well.
Definitely check it out when you arrive. Great beer, great atmosphere. Rock Bottom is good as well. I think they are a local chain. LoDo bar and grille is the one you are thinking of, maalamomma. I've never been to that one but they have one in Denver as well. |

I agree, The Rockyard is awesome and the beer is excellent! The food is also, suprisingly, excellent. Make sure you try their Jalapeno soup- it is to die for.

![]() I think you can see the RockYard from I-25. It's off of exit 184, turn right, then left. Its a few minutes off of the highway. |
