Unfortunately, Sunflower cannot completely replace Safeway/KS for me, as it's not yet in quite a convenient location for me and it lacks certain types of items, but still, I'm a big fan. |

I do want to apologize to Formercalifornian. She was just asking a simple question, whether a store was opened. I now realize it was not the place or the time to present my views on these type of organic stores. I understand that many people frequent them and find them exciting, as they offer many products not seen in the ordinary shopping stores. A good benefit of these stores is that they have brought up the quality and the selections of the products offered in King Soopers, Safeway, and Walmart.
I do disagree strongly with their pricing and I am using my knowledge to hold them to a more equitable price structure. In addition, I am not awed by the food preparations because I know that much of it requires very simple low-cost ingredients and simple procedures and to me the prices are not warranted. However, there is a time and place to state it and this was not it. Livecontent |

![]() BTW, I realized this morning that we were referring to two different stores. As I understand it, WF has permanently closed the Wild Oats in Littleton. I have never visited the Westminster Wild Oats/Whole Foods location that you mentioned in an earlier post. With all the kudos going to Sunflower Farmers Market, I think I may have to stop in there sometime. Unfortunately, it's a hefty drive from my current house and I've cut my driving to essential transportation only, so it will have to wait until my move to Centennial is complete. |

Thanks all for your comments. We ended up finding a nice apartment in Golden rather than Ken Caryl.
Still need to check out Sunflower's Market. I find the stereotype of Whole Foods customers quite offensive. As a county employee I am hardly "new rich." My wife has a background in health/wellness/nutrition and is extremely qualified to make decisions regarding her food purchases. We've solved multiple health issues without a single drug or doctor by simply using as much all natural and organic food as possible. To assume we shop at Whole Foods because of status or group think is highly offensive. |

"...Many shoppers at these stores are uninformed on what they are buying; what goes into the manufacturing, fabrication; and the constituents of the products. They base their decisions on "group think" and "look at me" and are influenced by marketing and "come and go trends" in consumption..." If you are one of the "many" then your behavior is indeed offensive to the earth; If you are one of the "few" then I applaud you. Livecontent |
