Hi everyone! My DH and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary this weekend. We are going to be driving to Manitou Springs.
We'd like to try a nice brunch somewhere along the way. But here's the thing. Where I come from, brunch means a smorgasboard of food served buffet style, often with roast beast and the like. But here, I just keep coming across places that advertise brunch and then hand me a menu. What gives? Anyway, we don't mind expensive since it's our anniversary, so does anyone have ideas for good brunch spots (Saturday morning) in South Denver? (DTC, Castle Rock, Littleton, etc.) Thanks!!! p.s. - Maybe we should hit a hotel? |

Good suggestions Kristen! The Adams Mark use to do a great one as well. Pay one price for all you can eat, and great food. Heading west on I-70 used to be a place called Baci but the name has changed. I will do so checking before I see you tomorrow night Wanttomoveeast!

Thanks Denver!
Kristen: Unfortunately, we've tried both of your suggestions (the Brown and Adams Mark suggested by Denver). I'll check out Wash Park Grille. I think I've been there way back when but can't remember. When we go on these road trips, we like to get away from downtown and our familiar burbs to try new spots. I hardly ever go south, I think our last trip to Co. Springs was over 6 yrs. ago. I was hoping maybe to find something in Greenwood Village, DTC or the like. Or even Castle Rock. Doesn't seem to be much down in Castle Rock though. Thanks for the thoughts guys! Keep 'em coming! |

Have you looked into the Broadmoore Hotel in Colorado Springs? Worth the visit! The only five star hotel in the Springs and use to be home to the Olympic ice skating training center.

For brunch you mean? Not a bad thought, but man we'll be starving by then! I'll keep it in mind.

Have a bowl of cereal before leaving to hold you over. It is only a few hours away. If they don't do a brunch, then it is worth it to have lunch or a late breakfast there.

I always thought that Ya Ya's had a good brunch. You might want to check and see if that is what you are looking for. I am not sure that they have it on Saturday. It may just be a Sunday thing.

thanks golden mom, I've heard of this place, but didn't think they did brunch. Someone else mentioned to me, over lunch today, that the Fresh Fish Co. does one too.
