Default What is the DNC doing to short term rental prices?

I've been trying to do some research on finding some short term (month to month) furnished rentals in Denver on Craigslist and I'm finding that almost everything right now is being targeted towards people coming for the DNC. We're not planning on moving to Denver until after the DNC, but I was wondering how much of an effect the DNC is going to have on rental prices once it's over.

For example, are there going to be a plethroa of furnished short term rentals waiting for new tennants at more reasonable prices in early September?

I'd be interested to hear people's comments on what the DNC is doing to rental prices in general as well as what people expect once it's over.

My guess is that there will be a lot of rentals available Sept 1st. both furnished and unfurnished. I think landlords have gone a bit crazy in anticipation of the DNC and are charging insane amounts of money for rentals. I've even seen people renting out tents in their yards, or their kid's bedroom for a premium. I'm curious if they will actually get people to pay those prices or if they are just dreaming. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

I have just come across a site called www.Airbedandbreakfast.com that seems to helping out people find cheaper and safe accomodations during DNC 2008, i have booked myself a room with local resident at a very low price of $50 per night!
I hope it will work well fort others as well.
