Hey
Found out our house is in FORCLOSURE-we have a rental company that receives our rent checks (signed a month to month and gave a 1200 deposit-rent is 1200 a month) and who knows where it goes???? we assumed it was going to pay the mortgage, but does this mean the rental company is also shady????
we have recieved several letters in the mail directed to the owner. We even had someone come to our door and said they know the owner lives in New York now but they were hoping we had a new contact address for him...We do not and actually know nothing about him. We received a letter to the "occupant" saying that the home would go up for Auction on July 17th. It said nothing else and did not give us any direction. We are also received alot of junk mail from Lawyers saying "YOU DON"T HAVE TO GO THROUGH FORECLOSURE or LET US SAVE YOUR HOUSE" so I'm not sure if the bank owns it yet or if July 17th is when the transition will be made. (an auction will take place that day)I am picturing a room filled with people raising their hands and bidding on the house. (we live near at 40th and Downing....)So questions I have:
How long do we have until we MUST leave...after the Auction? I have heard 24 hours and I have heard 6 months...
We are building a home in the Mountains and need 4-5 more months...do new owners make deals sometimes?
Will the dump our stuff and have our dogs run wild while
we are at work???
Thanks!
EL

look up the sale info on the public trustee's website - it's county specific.

There should be the foreclosing attorney's info - call them & the rental management company - usually foreclosure doesn't begin until there are 4 months for non payment - and then it's three or four months until the sale date.

for more info see the public trustee's website or ready Colorado Foreclosure Process and Time Frames
