The odds are wherever you are in the south, Denver has more sun.

I agree with steve (imagine that!) plus, I think you need to do some general research on Denver. What do you mean, for example, housing needs? No, you can't easily live in a tent year round, but the "needs" are no different than in Illinois, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, or even California, all of which I've lived in. A garage for the car is nice, but not necessary. We didn't have a garage in Illinois; had to scrape ice every winter day. Here, not so much.

It's not cold in summer- this summer has been extremely dry and hot, so right now your clothing needs would be flip flops and shorts. You'll notice that you don't sweat much here though with low humidity. In winter you'll need everything from a parka and gloves to shorts and a light jacket. The winter weather is crazy up and down temperatures, but still generally dry and you get reasonably warm, sunny days here and there.

Culture wise, it's different. I'd say people are generally friendly, but no southern accent, no "sloppin' sugar" as I've heard people in the South refer to insincere friendliness.
