Moving to denver and have some inquiries....information is much appreciated
Well I must admit, Denver has some kind of amazing pull to me.
I spent years of my youth living around Denver, aurora, and some other areas.
That was many years ago, and i have forgotten the area.
Now that the choice of living anywhere one could possibly imagine, arrives, the decision has been made.
Ive spent many years traveling around different areas. And its time to come home...Moving the lady and i back to beautiful Denver Colorado/area.
I can feel it in my bones lol, and im not even back yet.
But man is denver/colorado beautiful and gorgeous.
Ok, down to business.
Ive been researching Denver metro, the area, boulder, littleton, aurora, everything. Getting a feel of the place and the vibes at each of the locations.
I have some questions for everyone on here reading the Denver forums.
Im trying to get some more information on the areas and what they contain...
a little about me...
well i would prefer to live close to the mountains and for the hobbies that they would entitle. I want good views. Preferably More greenery then buildings. I still would like to be close to Denver city itself, as most of the work would be based out of there. I am a writer pursuing his career and piecing that all together. So a nice and safe town would be a good factor. The most important thing one would need is space. Not too much clutter. Price is a factor, but nothing too cheap or too expensive, preferably around the 650-750$ for apartment rent. Getting a house will be option in future, but distant future. I would prefer a safer town, and one that you don't fear your surroundings too much, as that feeling of living in big cities can sometimes bring. Overall, just give me beautiful views, good priced living expenses, make sure i am in ok driving distance to malls and shopping facilities. I would love to have the tastes of Denver city, but the feel of a nice town to live in, and close to the mountains/parks for past time pleasure.
I have read a few forums on here talking about south denver and north denver. How do the two areas really differ?
What are some good towns in both of the regions that would fit the qualities previous mentioned?
Overall, i would love to hear from the locals and see what they think of the region they reside and any opinions on the opposite sides....
anything...
my ears are open....
even more, im aching to get to Colorado.
any information would be much appreciated.

You are asking for everything, close to Denver, close to the mountains, local shopping but lots of green space, good views, low living expenses and 650-750 a month rent. At least one if not two or three of those factors are going to have to change before the equation can balance out.
Anyhow welcome back to Denver! I look forward to the suggestions on this thread because honestly, I'm at a loss.

Live on the west side of Denver.
Anywhere. Try to have some west facing windows.
Stay out of Boulder for too expensive. I don't know where it's too cheap.
Any suburb is pretty safe. You can sort of tell by looking at the place in question.
The difference between south and north is mainly a matter of preference for someone working at home. I like the north. I like the feeling of being on the edge of the metro instead of in the city or close in burbs. I think there are areas of the south that give that same feeling.
Good towns north? My preference is Louisville, Broomfield, Arvada. I don't know the south.

I think you would be better off somewhere in the southwest area of town (Littleton, Lakewood).
You are much closer to the foothills and frankly downtown Denver is not far away from any part of the metro area.
I am the opposite of Katiana and can't tell you much about the more Northern towns

We need to more about what you like and what you don't.
Aurora provides cheap housing and good views.
Denver would provide easy access to Denver.
SW Jeffco or Arvada would provide more green and easy access to the mountain routes.
Not much to be had for $650-$750 that isn't on the cheap side.
