Englewood is an older, inner ring suburb of Denver. It has it's own downtown (Broadway and Hampden area) with shops, restaurants and a couple of live music venues. It has light rail access, bike trails and is easy to get to Downtown Denver. Lots of trees and small older homes. It is a working class area, for the most part. I live in Englewood and like it a lot.

Washington Park is beautiful. Old homes with character plus some newer homes, a huge park (Wash Park) with a couple of small shopping areas with restaurants and stores. It's a wealthy area. Platt Park is similar but doesn't have the giant park and is not quite as expensive as Wash Park.

DU is a college neighborhood with lots of restaraunts, bars, coffee shops. The houses tend to be smaller. It's a very lively area, lots of young people out and about.
University Hills is a nice neighborhhod with access to strip malls on Colorado Blvd. Most of the homes are small ranch style homes.
All are nice neighborhoods, just depends on what you're looking for.
