Can you recommend a realtor?
I'll be visiting in September to hopefully meet with companies and would like a guided tour of places to live from a Realtor. (Do they show apartments too or just houses?) Does anyone have good experience with a Realtor in Denver? As always, thanks for your responses.
Mod note: To those who wish to respond, please use a Direct Message to South'n_Boy for specific agent recommendations. Please to not post on the realty agent recommendations on the board. Thanks.

There are Realtors that are property managers, they manage rental housing and there are Realtors who help nice folks buy and sell property.
What type of Realtor are you looking for?

Well I'll probably be renting at first until I'm sure I want to be there for a few years. I have a big dog so I may have to rent a house. In the past I've just driven around my city looking at places for rent- but being that I don't know much about the CO area I thought I might be able to get help. So I guess the property managers?

I'm either looking for a decent/nice apt or small house to rent at first- as long as they allow a dog. I don't know the area well enough to say where, but if twas an apt I could try living in the city. I wouldn't want to live more than a 20 minute drive to Denver if I was in a suburb. A younger professional area would be nice.

20 minutes to downtown wouldn't get you out of the city. Well maybe Englewood.

Thanks

It depends on the time of day. Thirty minutes will get you to most suburban cities. Forty five minutes on I-25 will get from the south end of Denver (Centennial) to the northend (Thornton) on most days.

OK thanks. At this point I'd really like to look both in the city at apt/town home, etc. and some of the 30 minute neighborhoods. The thing is I'm single so maybe living in the city would afford more opportunities to meet people. (when I say people, I mean single ladies.)
