(The PC term 'African-American' is severely flawed, misleading and irrelevant)
[mod cut] if you don't have an answer to the question, don't post. no one wants to hear your opinion on political correctness. you know what the OP was asking [mod cut]. the OP wanted advice, not snide comments.

that said, i have no advice for the OP. there isn't a high percentage of african americans in colorado.

I realize that the net can be sketchy because we can't hear each other's tones and see body language, and it could just be me, but pretty much all of your replies feel borderline harrassing to me and generally seem not very friendly. Frank and honesty doesn't always equate to being polite, especially on the web.

This is a huge misnomer. Actually, we are just as vulnerable to skin cancer as you are.

wanttomoveeast, where i got that Denver was around 12% Black in a while back(late 60's-early 70's) was from an old World Book Encyclopedia from 1971 at my parents house. I'm actually from Syracuse, NY, but just came across this topic. I think the presence of the military had something to do with that as well. I know that the Eastside is supposedly where most of the Black community in the city lives. I've read that the 5 points area was the Harlem of Denver at one time too.

Hey, when you mentioned the military that perked my ears. I'm thinking 60s, early 50s anyway would have been desegregation, when the US Army sent out guys to keep the peace. So I'm wondering if there was a surge then, and then the number went down. Anyway, nice talking with you.

I disagree. We need to stop playing this 'make believe' game called race and recognize that it's just another tactic in the play book to make folks modern day slaves to a bigger movement.

We've gotta stop living a lie, and race is a huge one.

Nice job, ronald, you've completely gone off topic while at the same time coming off as extremely obnoxious (see my earlier post). I'll request that this thread be closed. Sorry OP.
