Question Tacos and Good Mexican Food (incl. green chili)

OK, everyone. Let's get the list going. Here are my choices:

La Cueva: Colfax, in Aurora. Can't remember the cross street, downtown Aurora though. They get my vote for best green chili. Have it with pork or not, but it only comes in one flavor: hot!

On the Border: Yep I said it. Only because of their flour tortillas.

Jalisco's: 104th and Huron, by Red Lobster. Green chili is tasty, ask for the spicy stuff. Really though, their best quality: Service!

Mexico City: Best taco. OMG. Fried taco San Diego style. This is really what I'm questing for. Anyone know of other spots that do this kind of taco? I'll try to post a pic later.

Nothing wrong with franchise once in a while! I used to love their On-The-Border sampler. Armadillos ain't too shaby either. And Chevy's has some good homeade tortillas, don't they?

Teppahuan. (sp??) Near Jefferson and Broadway.

That's El Tepehuan; on Broadway, just north of Hampden.

Tacos Jaliscos (4309 W 38th); El Taco de Mexico (714 Santa Fe); Taqueria Patzcuaro (2626 W 32nd); some locations of Santiago's; El Paraiso (4690 Harlan); Los Carboncitos (3757 Pecos, there's another branch?)

I love the chubbys in Arvada. The smothered burritos are huge and spicy.

Rosa Lindas is good for the nopalitos (cactus), it's on 33rd & Tejon I think. Pretty much any of the other North Denver outlets (Patzcuaro's, Jalisco, Carboncitas, etc) are all pretty good.

I also like a new entry called Tacos y Salsas #3 on South Federal, near all the Pho places. They have another, more convenient location on East Colfax, but the South Federal location is a step above for some reason.

Tacos Junior, the cart on 8th and Federal. They also have a restaraunt on Sheridan although I've never been. My favorite.

I like Santiago's breakfast burritos.

Little Anita's.

Wow, good to know! I drive past it every day and it looks like a total dive. I've dared my hubby to eat there first, but he hasn't yet.

Is there any place that actually fries their own corn tortillas for tacos instead of using those horrid pre-made things?

Are there Chevy's out here? For a big chain, they're really good.
