Default Breaking News About Lodo

I changed my title. I didn't want anyone thinking I was trying to scare people who want to move here or whatever. Really though, it was an unnerving event and I'm interested in thoughts about next week's DNC, especially from those of you who work/live downtown. Thanks!

-----------

Did anyone follow this? I work downtown. I wasn't evacuated, but many of my friends were. I'm trying not to give in, but the approaching DNC is making me nervous.

I don't feel it was a waste of taxpayer money as I work right down the street. My friends who were evacuated didn't feel it was a waste. And really, if it was real, then there would be complaints about how they didn't do better.

I think the real moron is the Blast Express company employee who moved the bin there and then didn't tell anyone.

p.s. - weird, I changed my title but it still shows the original one. oh well!

I wouldn't go near the convention and I'll be staying off the interstates and maybe even away from major streets during the convention. There are plans to make traffic come to a standstill during one day of the convention. I'd rather not get involved in the mess.

It's from the I-70 interchange (on I-25) all the way down to Invesco. Obama's speech starts at 5:30pm, so everyone in my office is taking off early. All the buses are being rerouted and we are thinking it'll take forever for us to get home. Maybe not, but still I'm thinking yeah, traffic and such.

I'm not talking about the agreed upon shut down of streets and interstates. I'm talking about some protesting group trying to organize their own shut down of city streets.

William: oh I see. Yeah, there's a lot of talk about that. And most of what our bldg. is talking about is protesters. Yuck, I might get locked down in this stinking bldg. overnight because of protesters!!!

I work for a very big firm, and months ago they asked us who would be taking off that week. I stupidly said no, and now I wish I had. So it's too late for me to not go to work.
