I misinterpreted your post. I agree that teachers are underpaid, but in the case of DPS the problem is multi-factoral starting with the insanely high ratio of administration to actual teachers, not to mention the antagonistic relationship between administration and the union and the ability for subpar teachers to knock around from school to school spreading their damage instead of being let go.

Huh, that helps to shed some some light on the truth. The ABC article was really angled in favor of, big surprise: an ABC reporter. It's good to hear both sides of the story before making judgements.
