Need Help Fast!!!
We are moving there in less than a week and can't find anything to rent that doesnt have terrible reviews on apartmentreviews.com!!!
We almost rented at Bear Valley Village, but apparently its awful...
So here we are, moving to Denver and no place to call home.
Can anyone help us with a good location to move that is appropriate for small children (like not on a main road)
I have enrolled my son in Jeffco Open school so lakewood/golden/jeffco is desirable. (But I'll unenroll him and just homeschool if I cant find something!)
Is Bonnie Brae drivabe to that school? I realy like the looks of that area. (Like less than 30 min)
We need at least a 2 bed for under $1000. And we will need it on the 6th.(ish)
Help!
Jenny and family

Bonnie Brae is on the east side of Denver. It would be quite a drive to anywhere in Jeffco, all the way across Denver. And remember, you would be making two round trips a day for school. Can you stay in a Residence Inn or some place like that until you can look at these places yourself?

You can't always believe what you read in those things. A lot of times someone moves out because of rent or other disputes with management and they write a bad review.
I stayed at an apartment complex in St. Pete FL for 3 years. It had horrible reviews about cars being broken into, street lights being out, drunks hanging around outside all hours of the night, maintenance being bad etc. The 3 years I was there no one in the complex had their cars broken into, every light in the parking lot was always on, never saw people just hanging out getting drunk in the parking lotsm and I had to call maintenance 3 separate times and they always arrived within 30 mins. One of my calls to maintenance was on a Saturday night at 3 am and someone was there within 20 mins.
It was actually one of THE best places I have ever lived.

Another ONE!!!
Yes, another FL license plate is coming to Denver, NO...I am not a tourist...You can call me a transplant for now, but in a few years, NOPE! I am heading out on the road just after Labor Day, and it's going to be a haul from Key West...
My friend that I visited while up there seemed upset about her last neighborhood she lived in before, but likes living in Lakewood. I figured I would start out there...It seemed to be a nice mid-scale community..
My truck and my stuff hits the road in the wake of Hurricane Gustav...(name...seriously!) and I'll see ya there! Have a good safe trip...I'll be there soon enough!

This looks to be just north of 6th Avenue, a major thoroughfare, which will give you some options. Where will you be working?

Just a thought - look in the 80226 zip code. This is a safe area, would be very centrally located and close to both the school and lots of amenities. I did a quick search and came up with "Belmar Villas" - don't know anything about the complex, but I see that it's just south of a brand new, very upscale retail developement called "Belmar." Looks like you can get a three bedroom there for under $1K. Good luck!!!

thank you! The deal with the school is that we have different views on "education" and it is the only one I can find that is non-traditional and public right now. (or free LOL)
The apartments had ALL bad ratings and it was called "Bear Valley Village."
We are just thinking of trying to do a 6m lease at an apartment while we get oriented. My husband will work downtown. I will be finding a gym to work at so pretty much anywhere.
