I love these houses... but why are the schools are rated so poorly in that area? The neighborhood looks well-kept from what I have seen but I have read there is a run down area as well? Is there a cross street I can look up on google maps of the run-down area?

The areas surrounding Arapahoe Acres are all nice. Arapahoe Acres is probably in one of the best parts of Englewood (excluding the ultra rich areas) In general the Old part of Englewood which is west of Arapahoe Acres is pretty blue collar and there are a fair share of renters, particularly close to Swedish hospital and on the west side of Broadway. Arapahoe Acres is nowhere near the more run down sections. I walk and bike through that area frequently and it's a quiet neighborhood, I really like it.

Arapahoe Acres is very very cool. I decided not to buy a house there because I was worried about maintenance costs. That may or may not be valid.

I *think* Cherry Hills is Englewood (that's what I meant by ultra rich areas). I agree though that rich does not come to mind when thinking of Englewood.
