Default Traffic - Arvada to DTC?

Hi folks,

I'm relocating to Colorado from Arizona at the end of the month, and I was hoping I might be able to get some advice on the best way to get to my new job from where I'll be staying. I'll be commuting from Arvada (roughly I-70 & Kipling) down to the DTC (I-25 & Orchard). Hours are typically 7am-4pm, but I could shift it a bit to as late as 8am-5pm.

RTD shows that the bus/rail trip would take 71 minutes on the way there and 76 on the way back. The route seems to go Kipling down to 6th Ave, over to I-25 and down the light rail.

Can anyone tell me what sort of commute times I'd be looking at, if I were to take I-70 to I-25 down to DTC? Any other possible routes you would recommend?

Thanks,
Matt

Fifteen minutes to a half hour to I-25 and 30-90 minutes to Orchard. Generally you would be ok if you left by 6:15 am. Weather and accidents would increase drive time.

Best get yourself out of that situation as soon as possible.

If you could get a parking space at the Broadway station, that might save some brain damage.
