Default Neighborhood Flix to close

I can't believe it. I'm so bummed. This was an awesome venue and I only got to try it once. I saw The Fall and it was so freaking good. Instead of Spiderman and that stupid show turned movie about the three chicks, this theater showed indie films, and good ones.

That's a shame. Never even heard of the place, but read the article and it looked cool.

Do they still show cool movies at the Tivoli at the Auraria campus?

hey vegas, yeah, it had only been open 10 mos. The draw was not just the cool indie flicks but also beer/wine/liquor and honest to god good food. PLUS very comfy couches with neat attachments that let you put your food on a sort of tv tray.

The Tivoli still airs the film festivals and such, but it's just an ordinary theater, and I'd rather catch films like that at the Mayan or otherwise.

XAFLOC is on a distinguished road
Default Very Sad

This was a great establishment. It was one of those businesses that make Colfax unique. I only hope that whatever new enterprise takes its place will live up to the standards set by Neighborhood Flix.

I wonder what they do with it, it's a theater after all. And that whole block is neat with Tattered Cover. It sucks that people would rather watch Batman than something intellectual.
