We're making a trip out early in November to get a feel for the area and are looking for a place to stay. We'll be looking in the Parker, Highlands Ranch, and Castle Rock areas. I'm wondering if there are any nice places to stay that are a little different from the same old Hiltons, Hyatts, and Marriots we always stay in. Any place with some Colorado personality in the vicinity of those areas? We're travelling with 2 small kids

I don't know of anything unique around there but I stayed at the Hyatt Place right by Park Meadows Mall (County Line Rd exit off I-25) and it was very nice. Its a great location for exploring the areas you mentioned and the sofa bed would be great for the kids. The 42" plasma TV and free wifi was nice too.

You are visiting the most generic cookie cutter areas in the metro; hotels will reflect this.
