mom: Just to clarify: I knew what you were asking, basically daycare in or near the casino, no? My point was that I hold the opinion kids shouldn't be anywhere near these areas. Meaning, the daycares shouldn't even be there in the first place. I've been to Blackhawk/Central City a zillion times, in fact just went last Aug. I went into nearly all of the casinos (it's not that big) and I don't recall seeing a daycare. I wasn't looking though.

McGow: It was a really nice gesture of CD, I've been looking for some running shoes and Overstock has pretty good deals. Good point about the smoky casinos, I think it was tfox that mentioned that one. It is really nice without the smoke, but now everyone is huddled outside. I saw a couple casinos that had blocked off areas with heaters and such for them, kind of like patios, so they aren't totally excluded.

Nice Fields quote. I suppose I should state that it's not that I hate kids (as to why I don't have them)(although they do drive me batty, unruly ones that is), it's because I prefer to do whatever I want and I do not want to have kids be my first priority. I want it to be ME! haha, but really, aren't we doing our part by not having kids when we don't want them?

Sorry, guess I read it wrong. Maybe the kids distracted me, lol.

did anyone ever answer the question? I too would like to take my family down the hill and visit central city for a couple of hrs and head to the Denver zoo and water world all in one trip since I am 3 hrs out of Denver in the mountains where there is nothing to do. Do they have day care or not?

Not that I'm aware of, and I've been to all of them.
